This Consultation Paper seeks opinion on the proposed establishment of an Enterprise Development Fund (“EDF”) in the Isle of Man to support job creation and grow our economy.

The Department of Economic Development believes that the EDF will provide valuable support to existing Isle of Man businesses during all phases of growth and will also be attractive for new businesses wishing to relocate to the Island. The Department believes that this is essential if the Island is to attract and grow new businesses to continue to diversify the Island’s economy.

Consultation on new Regulations to update the Official Log Book and List of Crew carried on board Isle of Man registered ships. The requirements will apply to all Isle of Man registered ships to which the Maritime Labour Convention applies. This consultation paper should be read in conjuction with the draft Official Log Book (All Ships) and the draft Official Log Book (Passenger Ships).

The Isle of Man is proposing to make legislation to give effect to the latest versions of MARPOL Annex III (Carriage of Harmful Substances), MARPOL Protocol I (Reports on Incidents Involving Harmful Substances) and SOLAS Chapter VII (Carriage of Dangerous Goods). This consultation paper sets out the proposed requirements.

Consultation on draft Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 2015 which sets out proposed changes to fees charges by the Isle of Man Ship Registry. Subject to approval by Tynwald, the revised fees will come into effect from 1st April 2015. The consultation paper includes a brief summary of the proposed changes o the fees and a copy of the draft regulations.
