The Department of Economic Development has released a consultation document which sets out proposals to create further economic diversification, by amending the Casino Act 1986 and the Gaming Betting and Lotteries Act 1988, to facilitate live gaming tournaments being held on the Island.

Consultation on draft Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 2012 which sets out proposed changes to fees charged by the Isle of Man Ship Registry. Subject to approval by Tynwald, the revised fees will come into effect from 1st April 2012. The consultation paper includes a brief summary of the proposed changes to the fees and copy of the draft regulations.

Proposal to amend the accounting requirements of limited partnerships to address a recommendation of the OECD.

The initial consultation period on the Draft Foundations (Continuance) Regulations and Draft Foundations (Winding up) Regulations (“the Regulations”) ran from16 September 2011 to 14 October 2011. The current draft of the Regulations reflects some of the comments raised during the initial consultation. Further comments are being sought during an additional limited two week consultation period.
