Isle of Man Ship Registry launches new Website

www.iomshipregistry.com helps clients access information more easily

The Isle of Man Ship Registry has launched its new website (www.iomshipregistry.com). Its internet presence has always been a useful source of information for both existing clients and new clients looking to register their vessels in the Isle of Man. However, the information that is provided in the new website is now even better and more user friendly. It has been completely revamped and all its content re-drafted from the user’s perspective.

The website has been constructed to maximise the Ship Registry’s marketing efforts and includes links to trade journals which have recently featured the Ship Registry as well as informative video links to interviews from around the world.

The new sleeker website will also enable clients to access important information easily and intuitively. The latest Manx Shipping Notices are easily accessed from the front page along with a link directly to the legislation which relates to the subject for visitors to the site wanting to drill-down further. Also introduced are a number of direct email addresses, for example seafarerdocumentation@gov.im, which will provide direct access to those dealing with endorsements, seamen’s cards and discharge books , thus speeding up the process.

The Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon David Cretney MHK said “The Ship Registry’s new website is a great step forward. It is important for Departments with a global reach to communicate with the world and the new site will show the Isle of Man in a great light. The Ship Registry worked with a local designer to create a new look and feel for their website which is a credit to all involved. I recommend a visit to iomshipregistry.com.”
Dick Welsh, Director of the Ship Registry, said “An overhaul of the website has been long overdue. We are very proud of the new website and know it will present the Isle of Man as a modern, efficient place to do business. It provides existing clients with quick and easy access to the information or services they require, and potential clients with simple and instinctive access to the Ship Registry and the Isle of Man for maritime business. We will continually improve this site and would like to ask any of our clients to provide us with high resolution photographs which we can use in the future.
