Non-Executive Chair – Manx Care
The Isle of Man Government is undertaking the transformation of the Island’s health and social care system, which will include the creation of a new arms-length delivery organisation for integrated health and social care services to be known as “Manx Care”.
The Island is a self-governing British Crown Dependency - with its own parliament, government and laws. As such it has control of all aspects of health and social care policy and delivery enabling it to implement a unique model for integrated health and social care, in which the Chair of Manx Care will be pivotal.
We are now seeking an experienced non-executive Chair to lead Manx Care's Board. This will be a challenging and important role in the future delivery of high-quality health and social care services for the people of the Island.
What could this role offer you?
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Board of non-executive and executive members of Manx Care. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact; developing strategy and culture that is patient centred and focused on financial and clinical sustainability.
The remuneration package is intended to reflect the significance of this role. We recognise that, initially at the least, the time commitment will be substantial as the organisation is established, and once Manx Care is functioning fully, the time commitment may reduce but will still require dedicated time, to which you must be willing and able to commit. This is a truly unique opportunity to shape the Board and help to ensure the successful oversight of delivery of health and care services for the citizens of the Isle of Man.
Who are we looking for?

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills will be vital to enable you to provide strategic leadership and direction for the Board.
You will need to have previous experience of leading or holding a senior position on a Boardin the private, public or third sector, ideally within a health and social care setting. You will be able to evidence driving and delivering an organisation through a period of significant change.
If you have the skills we are looking for and have the ability to communicate with our stakeholders in the best interests of the Island, then this could be the role for you.

Expenses and Relocation
If selected for interview your expenses will be paid and a relocation package of up to £10,000, based on receipts, is available for this role should you choose to relocate on appointment. If you choose not to relocate, travel expenses will be paid.
The Isle of Man is offering a National Insurance Holiday Scheme which allows newly employed, relocated or returning residents to apply for a refund on their National Insurance contributions for their first year of living or returning to the Isle of Man, with refunds capped at £4,000.
