Treasury is seeking applications for the position of Member on the Board of Directors of Laxey Glen Mills Limited.
Laxey Glen Mills Limited is owned by the Isle of Man Government although managed by an independent Board of Directors.
The Company manufactures high quality flour from milling wheat grown by local farmers. Most of the output is sold to local bakeries for the production of bread and other baked products for local consumers. Flour is also sold to local retailers and there is a limited export market. The milling process also produces animal feed wheat, all of which is sold to local farmers.
A vacancy has arisen for the position of an additional Member on the Board, to assist with the future development of the Company. Candidates will ideally have a business background, preferably at director level, with sales and marketing experience; and knowledge of agriculture and cereal products.
