Local Companies shine at Annual e-Gaming Awards (1)

A number of Isle of Man e-Gaming companies were winners at the prestigious 2017 EGR B2B Awards by eGaming Review (EGR) magazine.

Isle of Man based Playtech had great success at the event, taking home five awards for best Bingo Supplier, Poker Network, Poker Software, Multi-Channel Supplier and Platform of the Year.

Local company Continent 8 took home the Datacentre of the Year award and Microgaming was presented with the award for best Mobile Gaming Software.

Jonathan Mills, Director of e-Business at the Department of Economic Development, commented:

‘It is fantastic to see the Isle of Man so well represented at the EGR B2B Awards 2017. A number of local companies were celebrated for their innovation and dedication to developing new and exciting platforms, software and strategies for further growth.

‘The Island’s e-Business sector is thriving, with a global representation of gaming and ICT companies creating real jobs and growth on the Isle of Man. We are working hard to create an environment that allows businesses to prosper and flourish and it’s great to see the industry recognising the talent and experience we have here on the Isle of Man.’

The annual EGR B2B Awards celebrate excellence in a range of e-Gaming disciplines, including payments, software and IT. The 2017 EGR B2B Awards were held at ‘The Hurlingham Club’, London on Tuesday 6th June. Microgaming, Playtech, Iforium, Continent 8 and Netcetera were all nominated for awards, including Platform of the Year and Datacentre of the Year.
