Passport delivery

When completing your passport application form, please ensure you enter your full address including post code and provide a mobile number where possible for a delivery update.

Once we have processed your passport application, we will return your cancelled passport to you with information relating to the delivery of your new passport.

When your new passport has been printed, it will be collected from the Secure Print Facility by Royal Mail.

Delivery of your passport – Isle of Man address

If you have provided a mobile number on your application form you should receive a pre delivery SMS message (if you have provided a mobile number on your application form) from Royal Mail as follows:

Ref XXXXXXXXXX

Your HM Passport Office item/s is due for delivery by your local post service.

You will be able to track your passport by clicking on the Royal Mail website.

If you have received a SMS notification that your document is on its way please allow at least one working day (Mon-Friday) from receipt of SMS message before attempting to track your delivery.

You will be able to track your passport delivery by clicking on the link and entering your post code and PAN number which is the reference number quoted on your SMS message.

If the delivery was unsuccessful, you will receive a ‘Notice Left Card' from the Post Office. This will contain your tracking details. You should contact the Post Office to arrange the redelivery or collection. Details of this service for the Isle of Man Post can be found on the Isle of Man Post Office’s website. Using the information on the 'Notice Left Card' you can also use the Isle of Man Post’s track and trace website to locate your delivery.

Delivery of your passport – UK address

If you have requested delivery to a UK address, you can track your delivery as per the above information regarding the SMS notification received. Full information on how to track your delivery can be found on the Royal Mail website.
