We are experiencing a continued increase in demand for the Passport Services
- Emergency Travel Document: will continue to be delivered within 24 Hours (working day)
- Express Service: suspended temporarily from the 18 August 2023
- Standard Service: is taking up to 35 working days

The Public Counter is open from 11am until 2pm Monday to Friday.
Applications with cheque payments can be posted in the passports letterbox by the main entrance of Central Government Office. Alternatively there are card payments forms which can be completed. Please note cheques can't be made for express applications, only card payments.

Public counter hours
Monday to Friday: 11am to 2pm.
The counter may occasionally be closed for staff training or operational matters. Notifications will be put up giving sufficient notice.

Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 12 noon (excluding bank holidays) – Calls to this number during this time will be transferred to a member of the passport team.

The website has the information you need to complete your passport application. Please note that emails requesting updates on passport applications that have been submitted and are still within the processing times may not be responded to. Emails send directly to passports@gov.im will receive an automatic response providing responses to frequently asked questions.
