Challenge a Parking Fine

If you have received a parking ticket by the Department and you can evidence that the offence did not occur, or that an exemption applied please use the below button. Please note that once 42 days has passed from the date it was issued it can no longer be challenged. After 42 days the sum payable as a fine increases by 50%.

Please be aware that the Department will reject a challenge should the reason rely solely on one of the following factors:

  • There was nowhere else to park
  • I thought I could park there at that time
  • Other vehicles were parked there when I arrived
  • I did not see the lines or sign(s)
  • I forgot to display my parking disc/ticket/permit
  • I got a ticket and no one else did
  • It was a genuine mistake
  • I disagree with the parking restrictions
  • I was only there for 5-10 minutes
