Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has today announced the return of its Isle of Man to Southampton service that offers a three times a week service on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from May 1st. Seats are available for booking now at www.flybe.com from £39.99 one way including taxes and charges.

The return of the year round service is expected to be welcomed by both business and leisure travellers and in particular will start in good time for the many motor racing fans wanting to visit the Island for the annual TT Races being held between May 25th and June 7th, an event which Flybe recognises is of significant economic importance to the Isle of Man.

Simon Lilley, Flybe’s Director of Marketing says: “Flybe is committed to developing further its route network out of both our Isle of Man and Southampton bases. We have every confidence that the return of this new service will be supported by both business and leisure passengers.”

Dave Lees, Southampton Airport Managing Director, comments, “We’re delighted to see the return of this service. We know there is a demand for a regular service from local businesses, especially those in the financial services sector, but we are also expecting the route to be popular with those on the Isle of Man joining cruises in Southampton, and leisure passengers from the South.”

Adds Mr Lilley:

'The route will further complement our already extensive schedule to and from both the Isle of Man and Southampton Airports. Flybe is the largest individual airline operating to and from the Isle of Man, with a total choice of up to 200 flights every week on eight routes; whilst at Southampton we are the airport’s largest scheduled operator offering a total choice of up to 670 flights a week on 34 routes.

We look forward to welcoming passengers on board in May and advise people to book early to take advantage of the lowest possible fares.'
