Visa application fees and processing times

Processing TimesĀ 

The Isle of Man Immigration office aims to processes applications within the following times:

  • Entry Clearance and In Country visa applications - 28 working days from date receipt of all documentation and correct fee to the issuing of our decisionĀ (subject to any external checks being returned to us in a timely manner).
  • General queries not covered on our website - 14 working days from date of receipt
  • Sponsor Licence Applications - 28 working days from date receipt of all documentation and correct fee to the issuing of our decisionĀ (subject to any external checks being returned to us in a timely manner).
  • Certificate of Sponsorship/Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies applications - 10 working days from receipt of all documentation and correct fee to the issuing of our decision.

Whilst every effort is made to work to and often exceed these processing times, some applications may take longer to process, due to their complexity or if further information is needed from the applicant. Furthermore, operational matters requiring Immigration Officers to be off site, may also take priority.

The Isle of Man Immigration Service can only discuss applications with the person making the application or their duly appointed representative. Such authority would be needed in writing.

The Isle of Man Immigration Service reserves the right to extend the time period or reject the application if appropriate.

In the event of a system failure the Isle of Man Immigration Service will process your application, at the earliest opportunity thereafter.

Applicants should not book any travel in the absence of having a valid visa and passport that covers all stages of their trip.

The Isle of Man Immigration Service will not accept any responsibility for travel booked before you receive your passport back containing your new visa.

The Isle of Man Immigration Service will not be held responsible for delays outside of their control in respect of obtaining police checks as part of any process.
