Tier 1 – Exceptional Talent
This immigration category is aimed at exceptionally talented people who wish to work in the Isle of Man in specific recognised fields of:
- arts
- humanities
- science
- engineering
- medicine
- digital technology
who wish to work in the Isle of Man.
These people will already be internationally recognised at the highest level as world leaders in their particular field, or who have already demonstrated exceptional promise and are likely to become world leaders in their particular area.
Application process
The application process for Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) Entry Clearance is split into two stages:
Stage 1
Stage 1 is a process by which a Home Office Designated Competent Body (DCB) scrutinises an applicant to determine if they are a recognised leader or emerging leader in their field.
The criteria for the Designated Competent Body is set out in Appendix L of the Immigration Rules.
Stage 2
Stage 2 of the process is a Tier 1 visa application which is referred to the Isle of Man Immigration Office for consideration and decision.
