Ballaughton Manor Hill Services 10, 21A & 26M

Weekday Evening Practice Nights (1800 road closure)

The 1737 Service 26M departure from Lord Street operates via Ballabrooie to Ballaughton Manor Hill ONLY - then diverts from Vicarage Road via Cooil Road and White Hoe to Douglas.

Saturday Race Day 24 August (1100 road closure)

The Service 21A departures from Lord Street from 1030 until 1740 do not serve Saddle Road and divert from the Meadow Crescent roundabout via Meadow Crescent and Harcroft Avenue to Ballaughton Manor Hill.

Race Days Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 August (0930 road closure)

After the 0916 Service 10 departure from Nobles Hospital all  journeys via Ballaughton and the IOM Business Park are cancelled until the roads re-open.

Commencing with the 0934 departure from Lord Street (stop A) Service 10 journeys via the IOM Business Park to Ballaughton operate as timetabled to Meadow Crescent - then via Harcroft Avenue, Ballaughton Manor Hill, Vicarage Road, Stevenson Way, Annacur Road and Groves Road to Lower Douglas.

Delays to Racing on Tuesday 27 (contingency), Wednesday 28, Thursday 29 (contingency) and Friday 30 August

On delayed Race Days when the TT Course re-opens between 1700 and 1800, buses continue to operate as if the road were closed with the exception of the journeys below which can safely use the TT Course while it is open to normal traffic:

Service 10:  1702  Douglas (Lord Street stop A) to IOM Business Park, Ballaughton, Nobles Hospital and Onchan

During the closure of the TT Course the following departures from Lower Douglas operate as far as the Meadow Crescent roundabout (therefore not serving the Hospital) - then departing from the Heather View stop on Vicarage Road as timetabled.

Daytime Race Days -  Saturday 24, Wednesday 28 & Friday 30 August:

After the 0912 Douglas departure (Wednesday & Friday) or the 1117 Douglas departure (Saturday/contingency race days) all Service 4 journeys are cancelled between Douglas and Peel until the roads re-open or, if racing delayed, the 1612 journey from Douglas to Niarbyl and the 1625 journey from Niarbyl to Douglas. 

Foxdale is served by the diverted Service 5 & 6 journeys.

Service 4 departs Peel to Niarbyl at:  0954, 1154, 1354 & 1554.

Service 4 departs Niarbyl to Peel at:  1010, 1210, 1410 & 1625.

Service 4C journeys operate as normal between Douglas and Castletown via Higher Foxdale.

Douglas – Laxey – Ramsey Services 3/3A/X3

Evening Practice Nights:

The 1645 (on Saturday only), 1745, 1845 (Not Sat) & 1945 Service 3 departures from Douglas (Lord Street) divert from Woodbourne Road via York Road,  Broadway and Summerhill Road to the Manx Arms.

The 1715 (on Saturday only), 1815, 1915 & 2015 Service 3A departures from Douglas (Lord Street) divert from Woodbourne Road via Somerset Road, St Ninians, Ballaquayle Road, Broadway and Summerhill Road to the Manx Arms - therefore not serving the bus stop in York Road opposite Waverley Court.  Passengers requiring to alight for Waverley Court can alight at the Crosby Terrace Post Office.

The 1615 & 1645 (on Saturday only), 1715, 1745, 1815, 1845 & 1945 departures from Ramsey divert from the Manx Arms via Summer Hill and Promenades to Lord Street.

Daytime Race Days:

Commencing with the 1st departure from Douglas (Lord Street) to Ramsey less than 30 minutes before the roads are due to close, Service 3/3A buses divert from Woodbourne Road via York Road, Broadway, Promenades and Summer Hill to Manx Arms.

Commencing with the 1st departure from Onchan  Methodist Church to Lower Douglas less than 20 minutes before the roads are due to close, buses divert from Whitebridge Road via Royal Avenue, Port Jack and Promenades to Lord Street so therefore do not serve the bus stop opposite the Manx Arms.

During the Festival period (Monday 19 to Friday 30 August) ALL Service X3 journeys operate via the Laxey Coast Road.

On Bank Holiday Monday 26 August no Service X3 journeys operate.

Evening Practices - Saturday 17 August (1700 road closure)

The 1507 departure from Douglas (1550 from Peel) is the last through bus to Kirk Michael and Ramsey until the 2107 departure from Douglas (2145 from Peel).

The 1605 departure from Ramsey is the last through bus to Ballaugh, Peel and Douglas until the 2043 Service 5J journey.

The 1607 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from Douglas to Crosby and Greeba until after the practice session - it also DOES NOT serve Strang.

The 1637 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from  Douglas to Union Mills and Glen Vine - then  diverts via Glen Darragh Road and Foxdale to Peel.

The 1547 Peel to Douglas journey is the last journey from Greeba, Crosby (1603), Glen Vine and Union Mills to Douglas until after the  practice session.

1707, 1807, 1837, 1907, 1937 & 2007 Douglas to Peel and 1630, 1647, 1715, 1745, 1815, 1840, 1910, 1940 & 2010 Peel  to Douglas journeys divert via Foxdale.

The 1737 Service 6C is replaced by the 1745 Service 4 to Peel.

The 1645, 1745, 1810, 1845 & 1945 Peel to Ramsey and 1730, 1830 & 1930 Ramsey to Peel journeys are cancelled.

 

Evening Practices - Monday 19 to Friday 23 August (1800 road closure)

The 1607 departure from Douglas (1650 from Peel) is the last through bus to Ramsey until the 2107 departure from Douglas (2145 from Peel).

The 1730 departure from Ramsey is the last through bus to Peel and Douglas until the 2043 Service 5J journey - it also  diverts from Kirk Michael via the Coast Road to Peel.

The 1707 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) serves the Hospital but DOES NOT serve Strang.

The 1722 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from Douglas to Union Mills, Glen Vine, Crosby and Greeba until after the practice session.

The 1715 Peel to Douglas journey is the last journey from Greeba, Crosby and Glen Vine to Douglas until after the  practice session - it also DOES NOT serve Strang or the Hospital.

1807, 1837, 1907, 1937 & 2007 Douglas to Peel and 1745, 1815, 1840, 1910, 1940 & 2010 Peel to Douglas journeys divert via Foxdale.

The 1737 Service 6C is replaced by the 1745 Service 4 to Peel.

The 1745, 1810, 1845 & 1945 Peel to Ramsey and 1830 & 1930 Ramsey to Peel journeys are cancelled.

Saturday Race Day - 24 August (1100 road closure)

The 0907 departure from Douglas (0950 from Peel) is the last through bus to Ramsey until the roads re-open.

The 1005 departure from Ramsey is the last through bus to Peel and Douglas until the roads re-open.

The 1007 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from Douglas to Union Mills, Glen Vine, Crosby and Greeba until after the roads re-open - it also serves Nobles Hospital but DOES NOT serve Strang.

The 1023 Peel to Douglas journey is the last journey from Greeba, Crosby (1041), Glen Vine and Union Mills to Douglas until after the roads re-open.

Whilst the roads are closed journeys between Douglas and Peel (and vice versa) divert via Foxdale. 

The Service 6C departure from Douglas at 1737 is replaced by the 1745 Service 4 to Peel.

Whilst the roads are closed journeys between Peel and Ramsey (and vice versa) are cancelled.

 

Race Day Monday 26 August (0930 road closure)

The Public Holiday timetable (Sundays plus journeys marked as BH in Sunday timetables) operates.

The 0720 departure from Douglas (0800 from Peel) is the last through bus to Ramsey until the roads re-open.

The 0900 departure from Ramsey (0905 journey operating 5 minutes earlier) is the last through bus to Peel and Douglas until the roads re-open.

The 0807 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from Douglas to Union Mills, Glen Vine, Crosby and Greeba until after the roads re-open - it also DOES NOT serve Strang.

The 0850 Peel to Douglas journey is the last journey from Greeba, Crosby (0906), Glen Vine and Union Mills to Douglas until after the roads re-open - it also DOES NOT serve Strang or the Hospital.

Whilst the roads are closed journeys between Douglas and Peel (and vice versa) divert via Foxdale. 

Whilst the roads are closed journeys between Peel and Ramsey (and vice versa) are cancelled. 

An additional Service 5 journey departs Peel at 0815 serving St Johns (Tynwald Inn) at 0823, Crosby at 0831, Union Mills at 0836 and Nobles Hospital at 0842 to arrive in Douglas at 0856.

An extra Service 5A journey departs Ramsey 5 minutes after the roads re-open to serve Ballaugh, Kirk Michael , Peel, Crosby and Douglas.

 

Race Days Wednesday 28 & Friday 30 August (0930 road closure)

The 0807 departure from Douglas (0845 from Peel) is the last through bus to Ramsey until the roads re-open.

The 0800 departure from Ramsey is the last through bus to Ballaugh, Peel and Douglas until the roads re-open.

The 0837 departure from Douglas (Lord Street) is the last journey from Douglas to Union Mills, Glen Vine, Crosby and Greeba until after the roads re-open - it also DOES NOT serve Strang.

The 0845 Peel to Douglas journey is the last journey from Greeba, Crosby (0903), Glen Vine and Union Mills to Douglas until after the roads re-open.

Whilst the roads are closed journeys between Douglas and Peel (and vice versa) divert via Foxdale.

0845 departure from Lord Street (Service 12) is the last through bus from Lower Douglas, Rosemount and Woodbourne Road to Willaston - 0856 departing the Willaston shops stop via Onchan to Lower Douglas.

0845 departure from Loch Prom (Service 11) is the last through bus from the Promenades and Onchan to Willaston - 0912 departing from the

Willaston School stop via St Ninians and Rosemount to Lower Douglas (last through bus).

During the times of TT course closure the Hospital can be accessed by travelling from Douglas (Lord Street Stop D) to St Ninians on Service 22V and then crossing over the footbridge to board the Service 22L.

Ramsey Departure Point on Race Days

During the TT course closure on Race Days the departure point for bus services which start in Ramsey is beside the bowling hall on Queens Promenade. 

During practice periods (evenings and contingency daytimes) buses depart from the Christian Street/Albert Road junction which is opposite Ramsey Bus Station. 

Wildlife Park

Due to the installation of TT Course safety barriers, during the period 0900 on Tuesday 13 August to Wednesday 4 September (inclusive) buses are unable serve the bus shelter at the Wildlife Park.

During this time there is NO STOP at this point for buses travelling from Ramsey to Peel. 

The stop for buses travelling towards Ramsey is on the main road at the entrance to the Wildlife Park car park.

Travel from the Wildlife Park to Douglas needs to be via Ramsey using the Service 3/3A for onward travel.  If paying cash or using an orange Go Places ticket there is no extra change for this journey.  Just pay the appropriate fare (£3.10 adult) or present the Go Places ticket to the card reader and ask the driver for a Transfer ticket.

Travel from the Wildlife Park to Peel needs to be via Ramsey using the returning Service 5/6A.  If paying cash or using a green Go Places ticket there is no extra change for this journey.  Just pay the appropriate fare (£2.70 adult) or present the Go Places ticket to the card reader and ask the driver for a Transfer ticket.

If travelling with a Go Saver or Go Explore ticket then just present it to the card reader for each journey.
