Tax payments due on 6 January 2021

Tuesday, 15 December 2020

If you have received your 2019/20 personal tax assessments and 2020/21 payment on account notices, payments of any outstanding balances are due on 6 January 2021 - less than a month away.

If you receive your personal tax assessment or payment on account notice any time after 6 December 2020, you will have 30 days from the date of the notice to make payment.

Please bear in mind that the processing of assessments is likely to take longer than in previous years due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic earlier in the year.

There are several ways to pay tax bills, including an online service payment facility which allows people to avoid potentially large queues at the Income Tax Division office as the payment date approaches.

Anyone who is interested should register for Government Online Services at www.gov.im/onlineservices and then follow the links to enrol for Tax Services.

Assistance can also be provided in completing the process either in person at the Income Tax Division or by telephoning 685400.
