The Planning and Building Control Directorate update the follow information on a regular basis in order to demonstrate the volume of positive applications that are expediently determined by the Directorate.

Planning Statistics
In last 12 months - October 2019 to September 2020 inclusive (previous 12 months period in brackets)
1,424 Planning Applications were determined (1,471)
1,216 / 85% applications were approved - (1,306 / 89%)
106 / 7% refused (136 / 9%)
835 / 59% applications determined within 8 weeks of validation (897 / 61%)
1,144 / 88% applications determined within 13 weeks of validation (1,120 / 76%)

Building Control Statistics
In last 12 months - October 2019 to September 2020 inclusive (previous 12 month period in brackets) for the whole of the island outside of Douglas and Onchan
757 Building Control Applications were received (751)
523 commencements were logged (653)
506 completion certificates were issued (503)
4,119 site inspections were made (4,620)
