Completion certificates

Where works that are the subject of a building control application have been satisfactorily concluded and been found to comply with all aspects of Building Regulations, a final inspection will be carried out to confirm all is in order. Providing that all the relevant fees have been paid, Planning and Building Control, on behalf of the Department, will issue a completion certificate.

The completion certificate should be kept safe and retained as a permanent record with the property, being an important document as proof of compliance with regulations should the property ever change hands.
