COVID 19 Informative update

Please be advised that with effect from end of business on Monday March 23 the DEFA P&BC public counter will be closed for the foreseeable future.

Whilst the Officers of the Directorate will be working remotely and continuing to assess applications and conduct site visits wherever possible, the P&BC admin will continue to operate back office administration and are contactable via telephone 685950, email planning@gov.im or buildingcontrol@gov.im or post.

Officers working from home are only contactable at the current time by email, but we are working how we can set up a telephone service.

Where Officers may require to conduct a site visit they will telephone in advance and will not enter premises where people are in self isolation, and in other cases will maintain the required social distance.

With regard to the next public sitting of the Planning Committee (March 30), this meeting has been cancelled. The Directorate will seek to inform customers as to how the future public meetings may be rescheduled as soon alternative arrangements are made.
