Interviewers sought for household survey

Monday, 13 November 2017

The Economic Affairs Division of the Cabinet Office is looking for people from all over the Island to work part-time as household survey interviewers.

Interviewers will be assigned households in their local area who have volunteered to take part in the Government survey. Working hours will be flexible and interviews will take place in the homes of the participants at a mutually agreed time.

The Economic Affairs Division is looking for people who are friendly and approachable, who inspire trust in others, who are detail-oriented and who take personal responsibility for the quality of their work.

The survey being carried out is an in-depth study of household income and spending, and interviewers will need to be comfortable working with numbers. The study will run from April 2018 for one year, with advance training in March 2018.

Interviewers will be paid above the Manx living wage and the package also includes travel expenses and a fixed commission payment for every completed household.

Further information is available on the Government website or by contacting Erin Stepney in the Economic Affairs Division on 685743.
