Douglas South By-Election 2020

Writs of election have been issued to fill the two vacant seats in the House of Keys in the constituency of Douglas South.

At the close of nominations on Wednesday 29 July 2020 a total of 10 candidates had declared their intention to stand for election. The candidates are listed alphabetically in the Notice of Poll.

Polling will take place from 8am to 8pm on Thursday 27 August 2020.

Requisition meeting

Electors will have an opportunity to question the candidates standing in the Douglas South by-election during a public meeting to be held at Scoill Vallajeelt, Meadow Crescent, Douglas, on Thursday 20 August 2020.

The meeting, which starts at 7pm, will be chaired by His Worship the Mayor.

The elected members serve as your local representatives and formulate and consider new laws and help to revise existing laws for the Isle of Man.
