Workshops and Training
The Island’s Workplace Wellbeing Group is a public-private partnership led by the Department of Health and Social Care’s Public Health Directorate and the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce.
This group continues to promote a key objective of the Programme for Government’s Healthy and Safe Island theme – focusing on the prevention of issues through encouraging people to take greater responsibility for their own health and make good lifestyle choices.
Workplace Wellbeing Workshop - 2017
Working your way to better health:
A further insight into improving Workplace Wellbeing
The 2017 Workplace Wellbeing Workshop promises to be even better than last year.
Hosted by members of Isle of Man Government Workplace Wellbeing Group and the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce the programme will present you with the necessary skills to develop your current programme or begin your journey towards the introduction of wellbeing within your workplace.
Topics this year include:
- The current health profile of the working-age population in the Isle of Man
- Personal resilience and stress management
- Health, age and the workforce
- An update on the Equality Act
- Wellbeing and the manual worker
- Winners of the Awards for Excellence 'Workplace Wellbeing' category
You will also be given an opportunity to network with other local employers to discuss how they have successfully implemented workplace programmes into their organisations.
As this is becoming a popular event, we recommend that tickets are limited to one delegate per organisation.
Exhibitors can book a place online from 13 September, 2017 and will require a booking code, please contact 642668 to receive this code if you have not received this already.
Delegates will be able to book a place online from Wednesday 20 September. Ticket Prices start at £50, with concessions available, a 2% booking fee will also be applied.
The following workshops and training have taken place since the launch of this initiative back in October 2016 – as part of the group’s delivery it is hoped local employers island-wide can become better informed on how to improve wellbeing in the workplace.
