Children's Ward
Children who are on Children's Ward for different conditions such as fractures, post-surgery, or respiratory illness may be referred by the doctor to the Children's Therapy Team.
Contact hours and information
Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 4:30pm
The children's therapy team carry a mobile phone which the ward staff can call when a child is referred.
Out of hours referrals are seen by the physiotherapy on-call service.
Location
A child who is referred when resident on Children's Ward will normally be seen in that location. Occasionally the child may be seen in a different treatment room should this be required.
How to access
If a child requires therapy treatment while on Children's Ward, they will be referred by the doctor looking after them.
