We do not offer an out of hours' service.

The Children’s Therapy Service consists of children’s Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists. We work with children, families, carers, and education professionals in order to help develop children's physical, functional and communication skills. We also work with children to aid recovery and rehabilitation from illness or injury.

A young person who is 12 years or older and presents with a musculo-skeletal or acute injury may be seen by the physiotherapy outpatient service

Location

Children's Therapy Service

If attending an appointment at the Community Health Centre, follow the green monkey signs to the Children's Therapy Area for Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy appointments.

Follow the pink parrot signs for Children's Speech and Language Therapy waiting area.

Therapists may work in other locations, including clinics, schools, nurseries, hospital, home and respite locations, depending on the child's needs.

How to access

The Children's Therapy Team provide services for children from birth to school leaving age.

Children can access the service via Consultant, GP, Allied Healthcare Professional or Education referral. Parents and Carers may also refer to the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team.
