In 2017 the Department of Health and Social Care, Quit4You Team will focus on supporting local community groups to quit smoking over the 28 days of the UK STOPTOBER promotion.
We have previously supported the UK 28-day stop smoking challenge from Public Health England that encourages and supports smokers to becoming smoke free.
Stoptober is based on the insight that if you can stop smoking for 28-days, you are five times more likely to quit for good.
Smokers are invited to attend a ‘1 hour FREE Taster Group Session’ and we are encouraging you to ‘Grab a smoking buddy’ and come along to sign up.
Planned Taster Sessions:
|Monday||11 September||9am||Markwell House, Douglas|
|1pm||Children’s Centre, Woodbourne Road, Douglas|
|Tuesday||12 September||2pm||Loch Promenade Church, Douglas|
|Wednesday||13 September||12:30pm||Isle of Man College, Douglas|
|6pm||Ramsey Cottage Hospital, Ramsey|
|Thursday||14 September||2pm||The Marine Hotel, Peel|
|Friday||15 September||1.30pm||The Sidings, Castletown|
