Also known as the Contraceptive and Sexual Health Clinic (CASH), the clinic provides contraceptive and sexual health services to all individuals of reproductive age.
We are happy to see young people to advise on sexual health and contraception matters.
The service is free and confidential.
Initial appointments can take up to 20 minutes, with ongoing uncomplicated appointments taking 10 minutes.
We provide specialist contraceptive guidance to assist the individual to make an informed choice, taking into account their social, family and medical history, lifestyle and preferences.
All our doctors and nurses are specially trained in sexual and reproductive health care. We provide expert contraceptive advice and all current methods are available.
We also provide pregnancy testing, advice on unexpected pregnancies and pre-conceptual advice. Swabs can be taken, however, if you require a full sexual health screening we would encourage you to visit the GUM service situated at Nobles Hospital.
Some methods, such as Intra Uterine Devices and Implants require an initial appointment to discuss suitability. A second appointment is then arranged for the procedure to take place during a Wednesday or Thursday clinic.
