Clinic's temporary address move

The Family Planning Clinic has TEMPORARILY moved to the GUM Clinic located at Noble’s Hospital. This move will not affect the service. If you have an appointment already booked, your appointment date / time  will remain the same.

If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact us on +44 1624 642186 / 642126 / 650710.

Due to an increase in demand, we are experiencing longer than usual waiting times for routine appointments. Please plan ahead to ensure you are seen when required. If your issue is urgent please call the clinic to discuss the right option/appointment for you.

If you are running out of your contraceptive pill/patch, please note that due to increased service demand, we cannot guarantee that you will be given an appointment within the next few days and it will be at the discretion of a clinician. If you are running low, your local pharmacy may be able to assist or alternatively you can call into our clinic during clinic opening hours (see below for times) to collect condoms which are provided free of charge.

Background

Also known as the Contraceptive and Sexual Health Clinic (CASH), our Family Planning Clinic provides free and confidential contraceptive and sexual health services to all individuals of reproductive age.

We are happy to see young people to advise on sexual health and contraception matters.

We provide specialist contraceptive guidance to assist the individual to make an informed choice, taking into account their social, family and medical history, lifestyle and preferences.

All our doctors and nurses are specially trained in sexual and reproductive health care. We provide expert contraceptive advice and all current methods are available.

We also provide pregnancy testing, advice on unexpected pregnancies and pre-conceptual advice. Swabs can be taken, however, if you require a full sexual health screening we would encourage you to visit the GUM service situated at Nobles Hospital.

Some methods, such as Intra Uterine Devices (coils) and implants will require an initial appointment to discuss suitability. You can choose to have a telephone call appointment or a face-to-face appointment with one of our clinicians. A second appointment is then arranged for the procedure to take place during a Wednesday or Thursday evening clinic.
