Health and Social Care Ombudsman Body to hold recruitment meeting

Tuesday, 28 April 2026

The Health and Social Care Ombudsman Body (HSCOB) is recruiting new members to help review unresolved complaints made about health and social care services in the Isle of Man.

New members do not require health or social care qualifications, although that would also be welcomed, but new members should have a passion for improving health and social care services.

Members of the body, which has been in operation since March 2023, have reviewed more than 120 complaints over the past three years.

An informal meeting with existing members is being held on Wednesday 29 April from 1pm-4pm at the Santander Work café (Market Hall, Market Hill, North Quay, Douglas). This presents the opportunity for prospective new members to discuss what’s involved in joining and being part of HSCOB.

More information is available on the HSCOB web page, while videos of current members talking about HSCOB can be found on Isle of Man Government social media channels.
