The Isle of Man Ambulance Service (IMAS) has 21 vehicles and 42 full time equivalent members of staff who respond to emergency calls across the Island.

At any given time the Service has 4 Ambulances on duty during the day (3 at night) which are crewed by a Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician/Emergency Care Assistant; the Service is also supported by 3 Officers from HQ (Paramedics). There is always a Duty Officer present 24/7.

Vehicles

The ability to provide an effective ambulance service is heavily dependant on having available a high quality ambulance fleet. The current vehicles in our fleet are replaced on a 7 year rolling programme.

During TT and MGP the Ambulance Service operate their own dedicated Air Ambulance which is invaluable during road closures.
