Patient Transport Service (PTS)

For a number of years, Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital (RDCH) has provided a Patient Transport Service (PTS) to help patients, who would otherwise struggle, to get to their appointments and clinics.

The use of the PTS must be booked through your doctor or through the clinic you are attending. The hospital staff will then contact the PTS on your behalf who will phone you to confirm your pick-up time.

The PTS will pick you up from your home or nursing home in the north of the Island and take you to and from RDCH. As well as getting patients to and from clinics and appointments, the PTS also provides transport for admissions and discharges, at RDCH, and takes inpatients to Noble's Hospital when required.

The patient transport ambulance has a lifting ramp for wheelchair access.
