The Intensive Care Unit is a 6 bedded unit that provides all the intensive care and high dependency services on the Island, cases include:

  • Major post operative conditions
  • Anaesthetic complications
  • Major trauma
  • Head injuries
  • Spinal injuries
  • Burns
  • General medical
  • Surgical
  • Obstetric
  • Paediatric emergencies

Opening times

This facility works 24 hours a day 7 days per week.

Where to report

The Intensive Care Unit has a door bell on the left hand side of the main door to the unit. Visitors are advised to press this bell and to enter the first door and take a set in the waiting room on the left hand side of the unit. A member of staff will answer the bell and deal with any enquiries.

Visiting times

The visiting hours within the unit are from 12pm to 8pm. If you wish to visit outside of these times please contact the nurse.
