Noble's Hospital undertakes training of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. We ask for your assistance in enabling students to discuss your condition with you. Please tell the nurse in charge or the doctor if you would prefer not to take part in student training - this will in no way affect your care.
Your treatment is provided by a clinical team lead by the Consultant in charge of your treatment and a team of junior doctors. The expertise of your Consultant is supported by an experienced team of nursing staff.
You will be introduced to the registered nurse who will be responsible for co-ordinating your nursing care during your stay. Other nurses and health care assistants will help in your care. Within the hospital, there is a team of specialist nurses who provide specialised information and care, who may be involved in your care and/or treatment if required. Senior Nurses (modern matrons), who wear a dark blue uniform trimmed with red, have recently become part of the hospital team; they have responsibility for making sure the ward and hospital environments are acceptable, and the aims of your care meet your needs.
Both the ward manager and senior nurse are happy to talk to you about any aspect of your care that you want to discuss. During your time on the ward you will also be looked after by a range of healthcare professionals – including amongst others, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dieticians etc. depending on what treatment you require. There are many other staff, e.g. housekeepers, catering and portering staff to name but a few, who are also vital members of the hospital team.
