The Dermatology clinics at Noble's Hospital are located in:
Suite A,
Ground floor,
West wing
and:
Suite F,
First floor,
West wing
Both clinics are signposted along the corridor from the main reception area at Noble's.
Your appointment letter will clearly direct you to the appropriate outpatient area.
Please allow up to 1 hour for your appointment time as, if required, you may have your procedure carried out during your appointment.
Facilities
The outpatient clinic at Noble's Hospital is equipped to undertake simple skin surgery.
Outpatient phototherapy (narrow band UVB and oral and bath PUVA) is available, located in the physiotherapy department in the Westmoreland Medical Centre, Douglas.
Simple patch testing to detect contact allergic dermatitis is undertaken in clinic.
The Dermatology Team
Dr Neill Hepburn
MD FRCP, Consultant Dermatologist, has undertaken clinics at Noble's Hospital every month since 1996. His special interests are in skin surgery, phototherapy, allergic skin disease, clinical governance, management and medical education. His NHS base is at Lincoln County Hospital.
Dr Richard Ashton
MD FRCP, Consultant Dermatologist, has been undertaking clinics at Nobles since 2007. His special interest is skin surgery. Dr Ashton has published a useful book 'Differential diagnosis in Dermatology' 3rd ed Pub Radcliffe ISBN 185775 660 6 and has recently retired from the Royal Navy after a full career and now works for the PCT in Gosport.
Current Clinical Services
- Clinics are held twice each month.
- Dr Neill Hepburn usually visits on the first weekend each month.
- Dr Richard Ashton usually visits in the middle of each month.
- In addition periodic 'waiting list initiatives' are undertaken.
