An online survey of the Island’s young people will once again help the Government and partner agencies to better plan and direct services.
It is being co-ordinated by the Youth Trust, an independent Manx charity established in 2015, which will report the findings to the Isle of Man Government.
The biennial survey, running since 2011, is now open and continues until 13 April.
Details of how to take part are being distributed by means of a specially designed postcard issued through the Island’s secondary schools to all students aged between 11 and 18.
The survey takes the form of 60 questions on a host of subjects including health, leisure, social attitudes and lifestyle choices. It will take around 20 minutes to complete.
It can be accessed via the youth.im website.
Everyone entering the survey has a chance of winning one of a range of superb prizes. The three main winners can select from an Apple iPad, Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy tablet and there are 12 runner-up prizes also available.

‘When thinking about the appropriate support for young people, and anticipating their longer-term needs, the best way to get hold of this information is simply to ask them.
‘The Youth Trust has been set up to empower young people to lead healthy lifestyles, achieve their potential and contribute to the welfare of the wider community. Running this survey with them means that together we can make sure young people get their views taken into account when services are planned, delivered and evaluated.’
