Journal Usage Survey
Can you find a few minutes to tell us about your journal usage?
The library service aims to provide quality resources to support the information needs of staff, primarily within the Department of Health and Social Care, supporting evidence-based decision making in clinical practice to enhance patient care, education and continuing professional development, research and life-long learning.
The library has however, extended its access policy to provide a service to anyone on the island who has a legitimate need to find and use health and social care information, including island charities, self-help groups and the private sector. In some circumstances, this may not always constitute access to the full range of library and information services, but walk-in use of print resources for reference are always offered to any individual who may need to use the service.
In addition, as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting extended opening hours the library has 24 hour access 7 days a week available via a proximity card. Please contact the library concerning proximity card eligibility.
The library has self-issue facilities which allow for faster and more efficient borrowing and returning of books, so you won't have to wait in queues at the desk. The self-issue facilities enables users to borrow and return material whenever the building is open.
