Mental Health Occupational Therapy

Opening hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 5pm
Not all staff work all of these hours, the above telephone number has a confidential answer phone facility.

An Occupational Therapist working in the Mental Health Service looks at difficulties you may be having managing your day to day activities. This could be from poor confidence or anxiety or other emotional impacts on your lifestyle. We aim to provide you with practical skills and techniques to cope with any functional difficulties you may be experiencing for example shopping in large supermarkets.

What will happen once I have been referred to Occupational Therapy?

Once your referral has been received, an Occupational Therapist will contact you and offer you an appointment. This initial contact will assess your needs and discuss any possible interventions available for example relaxation or group therapy.

All Occupational Therapists must adhere to the professions conduct and code of ethics. The Occupational Therapists employed by Noble's Hospital are state registered health professionals.

Students are present within the department team at times throughout the year. If you object to having a student present, please say so. No offence will be taken.
