Visiting times

Both Harbour Suite and Glen Suite operate the following visiting times every day:

• 2pm to 4pm
• 6:30pm to 7:30pm

We can usually accommodate visiting outside of these times if you require. Please discuss with the ward nursing staff to make arrangements.

There is no visiting within the main ward area of Harbour Suite and either public areas or designated visiting rooms will be used.

Smoke Free DHSC Policy

As of 1 April 2021 smoking will no longer be permitted anywhere on the grounds of any Isle of Man Hospital.

What is Manannan Court

Manannan Court provides inpatient care for adults who are experiencing a significant deterioration in their mental health and wellbeing and require admission to hospital. It offers a safe and supportive environment where individuals can access assessment, treatment, care, and therapeutic support to aid their recovery and help them return to wellbeing as quickly as possible.

Manannan Court is part of Manx Care’s Integrated Mental Health Service. The facility comprises two inpatient wards that provide specialist care for people experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

Manannan Court also includes the Cushag Suite, which is designated as a place of safety under the Mental Health Act.

Crisis Response Home Treatment Team (CRHTT)

The Crisis Response Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) are also part of the Acute Services and are based in Manannan Court. The CRHTT work alongside the inpatient service as part of the admission. They also offer home treatment as an alternative to hospital admission.

Safety and Security

Manannan Court operates a controlled access system across all ward entrances and exits to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. Access is managed by ward staff, who assess all requests for entry and exit. All visitors are greeted and supported by a member of the ward team upon arrival.

Car parking

There is visitor parking available at the main public entrance to Manannan Court. There is also public transport near to Manannan Court.

Disabled Access

Manannan Court is fully functional for disabled access including car park spaces, automatic door access, disabled toilet and loop hearing system.
