Exporting Poultry from the Isle of Man

There are health requirements for the exportation of domestic fowls and captive birds to Great Britain. Captive birds including Show Poultry are required to be accompanied by an ‘Owner Declaration’. Full health requirements can be viewed at the general export licence.

However, please be aware of any restrictions due to Avian Influenza

Please ensure that you comply with the Welfare of Animals in Transport regulations. If you are transporting poultry or captive birds on journeys longer than 65km and in connection with an economic activity, you must hold the relevant Transporter Authorisation for the transport of poultry. This includes road and sea transporters.

Exports to the EU and Third Countries will require health certification.
