Certified copy certificates of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships registered on the Isle of Man can be obtained from the Civil Registry. Statutory records held relate solely to births, deaths and mariages registered since 1878 and civil partnerships registered since 2011.
Although we aim to process applications within 5 working days of receipt, genealogy applications may take longer.

The following payment methods are accepted:
- Online applications: Debit or credit* card. The Civil Registry will contact you within 3 working days of your application regarding payment of your certificate(s).
- Postal applications: Cheque, postal order, banker's draft or GBP international money order made payable to 'Isle of Man Government'. Please do not send cash or blank cheques.
- In person: Cash, cheque, debit or credit* card
* A 2% surcharge will be added if paying by credit card. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club.
