MiCard is the new way for customers to collect their social security benefits and pensions at the Post Office. MiCard will eventually replace payment of benefits by cheques and vouchers.
Customers will be able to collect their benefits and pensions (or those of another person in certain circumstances) at the Post Office by presenting their MiCard, showing their photo identification, and either entering their PIN or signing their name on a digital pad.
MiCard will start to be piloted at certain Post Offices during Summer 2015 and rolled-out to other Post Offices later.
