All MiCards with an expiry date of 31 December 2019 won't work after that date and need to be replaced. 

Visit the Post Office where you usually collect your benefits or pension, with:

  • Your letter from Social Security
  • Photographic identification, eg. passport, driving licence or current MiCard
  • Proof of address, eg. household bill, bank statement or tenancy agreement
  • Photo ID consent form, if you want to have a photo printed on your new MiCard

Your new MiCard will be posted to you within four working days. Once received, please activate your card at the post office.
