You may be exempt from paying vehicle licence duty if:
- You are the registered keeper of a motor vehicle; and
- You get the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or a mobility premium as part of your Income Support.
To apply for vehicle licence duty exemption, please email us to ask for a certificate MY812.
Veterans
If you are a war pensioner who is not in receipt of Disability Living Allowance but are the registered keeper of a motor vehicle, we may still grant exemption if you satisfy certain medical criteria. Contact:
