Isle of Man Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme

Compensation for an injury caused by a violent crime is an expression of the public's sense of responsibility for, and sympathy with, the innocent victim. Victims of crimes of violence in the Isle of Man could be paid compensation by the Manx Government under:

Incidents which occurred prior to 13 December 2005 are eligible for consideration under the 1983 Scheme. Incidents which occurred on or after 13 December 2005, will be eligible for consideration under the 2005 Scheme.
