PSPA Consultation

Pension Scheme Consultations

Consultations give Scheme Members and their Representatives an opportunity to have a say on any new proposals from the PSPA to amend public sector pension schemes, so that their views can be taken into account.

From time to time, this page will provide details about current consultations and have links to all documents produced from consultation exercises.

Consultation on the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme (Amendment) Scheme 2021

This consultation addresses the changes to the Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme 2011 (“the Unified Scheme”) in relation to changes to Tynwald Members’ pensions, as approved by Tynwald.

The changes being consulted upon are in line with the recommendations in the report from the independent panel appointed to review the Emoluments of Members of Tynwald, Report entitled: “Emoluments of Members of Tynwald, Report By An Independent Panel, November 2019.”

The changes to pensions are made via the proposed Isle of Man Government Unified Scheme (Amendment) Scheme 2021.

The consultation document and appendix 1, 2 and 3 provides the background to the changes, a summary of what those changes are and the details of the proposed legislation that will introduce the relevant changes.

The consultation period starts on 1 March 2021 and will close at midday on 26 March 2021.

Details of how to provide feedback are on page 1 of the Consultation Document.
