The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wants to make the public aware of a safety notice which has been issued in relation to HP Notebook Computer Batteries.
The batteries being recalled have the potential to overheat. They are used to power specific HP, Compaq, HP ProBook, HP ENVY, Compaq Presario, and HP Pavilion Notebook Computers.
Unless you have already received a replacement battery under the existing recall programme, it is essential to check the battery if you own one of the above models. This applies even if you have done so previously and been informed that the battery was not affected.

If your notebook battery is affected, you should cease using it immediately. HP will provide a replacement battery at no cost.
