How to apply to become a Licenced Operator

To apply to become a Licenced Operator of Public Passenger Vehicle Operators, you will need to take or send the following forms and documents to the RTLC Office:

• Application Form
• Ply for Hire Service Licence or Regular (Bus) Service Licence Application Form*
• Fee £53
• Operating Centre Planning Form
• Good Repute of Applicant Operator or Designated Manager Form

* If you are applying to operate a Ply for Hire taxi, or to provide a Bus Service (known as a Regular Service Licence); then you will need to complete the relevant form. The fee for a Ply for Hire Service Licence or Regular (Bus) Service Licence is £53.
