Procurement Policy Review
The Procurement Policy Review is now available, and is to be laid before Tynwald at its June 2022 sitting. The full report and an executive summary version containing a Ministerial foreword and Treasury’s action plan are downloadable from this page.
The Treasury engaged consultants to review the Procurement Policy approved by Tynwald in June 2017. This included the impact of the policy on local suppliers, and evaluating whether the policy is successfully meeting the objectives of:
- Achieving best value for the Isle of Man from Government purchasing whilst ensuring Government's purchasing power is used to spend locally wherever possible
- Purchasing through fair and open competition
- Making selling to Government as simple and straightforward as possible
Procurement Policy Review 2021 Consultation
The consultation engaged with Government staff, local businesses and other organisations, and business representatives and networks, with the online consultation closing on 25 March 2021. An overview of the results is contained in the report, and a summary published on the engagement hub.
