*Please note that kerbside paper recycling collections began in November 2008 for ~15,000 households in Douglas, Onchan & Braddan. This has resulted in more paper being collected in total (i.e. from public recycling sites and kerbside boxes combined) with a predictable diversion from the public recycling sites.

Steel & Aluminium cans, foil & aerosols (tonnes) recycled via kerbside collections from November 2008 to March 2014 was 333.52 tonnes

Plastic Bottles

Plastic bottles recycled via kerbside collections, since the scheme began in November 2008

November 2008 - October 2011 (inclusive) 231.84 tonnes or approximately 5.1 million plastic bottles.

In 2014, 22.07 tonnes which is 27% increase on the previous year.

Since January 2006 we have collected and recycled over 53 tonnes of dry-cell batteries. In terms of the actual number of batteries we have recycled nearly 2.5 million 'AA' batteries.
