The Mountain Road will close between 9.30am and 3pm on Thursday 4 October to enable filming to take place.
A closure order has been granted to allow Ford to record a future edition of their ‘Europe’s Greatest Roads’ series.
The short promotional films are published via the Ford Europe YouTube page, with previous editions featuring the Black Forest in Germany, Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway, Campocatino in Italy and Blakely Ridge in North Yorkshire.
They are filmed using professional drivers driving Ford models under controlled circumstances and always obeying driving laws.
The edition on the Mountain Road is set to feature the new Ford Mustang Bullitt.
The closure will affect the A18 route between Lheaney Road in Ramsey and Creg-ny-Baa Back Road in Onchan. Access to properties will be maintained.
