Samaritans

Volunteers from the Samaritans visit every Saturday morning and prisoners are able to talk with them in absolute confidence. If a prisoner wishes to see a Samaritans volunteer they can ask an officer to book them an appointment through the safer custody officer.

Alternatively, prisoners may call the Samaritans at any time of the day through their pin phone, or request the Samaritans phone from one of the residential prison officers. Any conversation between the prisoner and the Samaritans volunteer is completely confidential and will not be discussed with prison staff.

David Gray House

David Gray House is committed to assisting in the rehabilitation and care of offenders by providing accommodation to those who would benefit from enhanced supervision and/or a secure and supported environment. In partnership with the Isle of Man Prison and Probation Service the aim is to offer the courts and their users an efficient and structured referral process, supported by comprehensive assessment.

PrisonWorks Isle of Man

PrisonWorks Isle of Man is an Isle of Man charity (in course of registration) serving the needs of offenders, ex-offenders, victims of crime, family members and members of the Isle of Man community.

All of our work is done in conjunction with the Prison, Probation and Re-Settlement and Social Care on the Isle of Man, along with other organisations and charities both on the island and from the U.K.

All members are volunteers and all services are offered free-of-charge to the groups and individuals with whom we work.
