Health Services Consultative Committee

The Health Services Consultative Committee (HSCC), is a consultative body to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).

The HSCC gather experiences of health and social care service users and patients through direct feedback from patients and observing services delivered or commissioned by Manx Care. Their feedback provides valuable insight to ensure the continued effective delivery of services.

The HSCC produce reports for the Department and Manx Care on specific areas of the health and social care network. These reports set out the observations carried out by the HSCC, including recommendations for consideration with regards to service improvement, and where required any matters of concern for escalation.

The HSCC publish an annual report including their observations and recommendations, which are available in the downloadable documents section of this page.

The HSCC members have access to the information relevant to their functions, resources and ongoing training to fulfil its responsibilities and attend relevant meetings of the Department and Manx Care, primarily those concerning Quality and Safety.

The HSCC are consulted directly on general service matters and policy and strategy changes under the requirements of the National Health Service Act 2001.

The Health Service Consultative Committee members:

  • Carol Bamford
