Nursing and Midwifery

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the website for nursing and midwifery in the Isle of Man.

The Island's nurses and midwives play a pivotal role in the delivery of quality care to our residents and we are proud of what they do. As the chief nurse for the Isle of Man, I am in contact with nurses and midwives from every sector, from the hospital to community and mental health to midwifery, and I never fail to be impressed with their level of care, dedication and professionalism, this I witness every day.

In the Isle of Man we believe that every patient matters and we are always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the care and service we provide to our patients. Continuous development in practice and leadership are very important, and we regularly assess and monitor our performance to identify what we are doing well and where we can do even better. We are at the forefront of nursing development and practice and invest a significant amount of resources in the development and education of our staff.

I hope our website will give you information and understanding about the Isle of Man's nurses and midwives and how we work. For those of you who would like to join our team here on the Island, we have also included some information about what it is like to live and work here. We'll regularly update the site with news about what we've been up to and all the good work we've achieved, to acknowledge those who have gone the extra mile and inspire us to work even harder for our patients and their families.

I sincerely hope you enjoy browsing the site and learning about us.

Warm regards,

Linda Radcliffe
Chief Nurse
