Policy, strategy and legislation

Our teams work closely together and with other Government Departments to develop a range of health and social care policy, strategy and legislation.

We:

• review existing policy

• research and develop emerging policy topic areas, including reviewing best practice from other jurisdictions

• respond to political direction on policy areas

• work with Public Health and Manx Care

• work with other Government Departments and multi-agency boards and committees eg the Housing and Communities Board

Our legislative programme and key strategic priorities are included in our Department Plan, and we work towards Island Plan strategic programmes.
