Complaints and compliments
How to complain
The DHSC is responsible for the strategic development of the Island’s health and social care system, which includes policy development, legislation, strategy, the Mandate to Manx Care, and registration and inspection of services.
If you have any compliments or complaints about DHSC services you can contact us at:
+44 1624 685816
We cannot consider complaints about health and social care services provided by Manx Care or a Service Provider under the DHSC complaints procedure.
If you wish to complain about any health and social care service delivered by Manx Care, or a Service Provider on behalf of Manx Care, a complaint must be sent to those providers first.
If you would like any assistance or guidance on how to make a complaint the Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service (MCALS) will be able to assist you.
Health and Social Care Ombudsman Body (HSCOB)
The HSCOB is a statutory service for complaints that have not been resolved by Manx Care or a Service Provider. The HSCOB, where it handles a complaint and which is upheld, will share findings from their investigations to improve health and social care services provided on the Isle of Man.
